About the artist

Picture
My name is Jon Webster, I am a self taught artist who works mainly in watercolours..

I paint a variety of subjects – landscapes from around Cheshire where I live as well as scenes from my travels around the world.

I enjoy painting in a variety of styles –experimenting to see where the medim takes me. Transparent watercolour is a very unforgiving medium and allows little room for errors. There is always a great sense of accomplishment when a painting is completed. The exciting part of watercolours is that you never really know how the final painting will turn out, there is always something new that surprises me.
